Hi, I'm Bill! I provide management training services, specializing in helping new managers understand what this transition means and how to succeed in their new role. Most managers were once strong individual contributors, but without guidance, they often struggle to adjust to a different set of responsibilities as a manager.
Over the past 20 years as an operating executive and PeopleOps leader, I've seen this scenario play out many times. That experience motivated me to take the advice I share with my direct reports and document it in The Manager Transition. I also have coached a number of new managers on how to follow the steps outlined in the book, so I provide training sessions to help crystallize the lessons.
